Position the substructure (abbreviation: UK)

(In the case of a combination terrace (porcelain stoneware and wood), first lay the substructure for the porcelain stoneware and then the substructure for the planks. This way you can quickly find the right positions.) Read step 17/10 beforehand!

Attention: If you had to lengthen the substructure strips, make sure that the connection point is always supported.  The connection point must never be loaded free-standing! Risk of breakage!

Important for steps 12-15:

If your board has a width (B) of 115 mm or more, position the “Easy-Use” connector in step 2 in the middle of the substructure as indicated.

If your boards are 85 - 115 mm wide (B), position the “Easy-Use” connector in step 2 (Fig. A) flush with the edge of the substructure.
In this case the substructure must be at least 50 mm wide!
(for a combination terrace we recommend 60 mm wide substructures)

Attention: The boards must have a width (B) of at least 85 mm, otherwise the “Easy-Use” connector cannot be used.

Position the “Easy-Use” connector in the middle of the substructure as shown in the illustration.

Important:
In the complete structure, the recesses (X) are always pointing downwards! This so that no water can collect in it. Risk of breakage in winter!

This does not apply if you use the “Clip in Fence” for stone slabs, the recess is then under the stone slab.

The distance (A) between the connector and the wall should be about 8-10 mm.

Simply use another connector (2) as a spacer.

Screw the connector with the supplied
Self-drilling screws 4.2x19 mm (S) on the substructure.

Just that one screw.

For aluminum, we recommend pre-drilling with Ø x 3 mm.

Attention: Pay attention to the torque!  The plastic must not deform, bend, tear or even break!

Loosen the screw (by hand!) Until you can sluggishly push the connector out and in.

The "first-line" position support

Attention: Read the instructions for use carefully before using the products!
Observe the safety and warning notices and adhere to the building and safety regulations that apply to you!

6-min.png

6

Repeat these steps for all substructure strips.

7-min.png

7

Attach the “First-Line Positioning Aid” (P) to as many substructures as your plank is long.

8-min.png

8

Place the plank (1) upside down against the positioning aids (P).

8-min.png

9

Push the board (1) with the spacer (3) against the wall along its length.

10-min.png

10

Achtung-min.png

Position the “Easy-Use” connector (E) as shown in the picture and screw it tight with the supplied 4.2 x 19 mm self-drilling screws (S).

Repeat this step along the entire length of the board.

Attention: Pay attention to the torque!  The plastic must not deform, bend, tear or even break!

11-min.png

11

Pull out the board in the direction of the arrow.

Remove the "First-Line Positioning Aid" (P)

12-min.png

12

Put two “Easy-Use” connectors together as shown in the picture.

13-min.png

13

Glübirne-min.png

Tip: Before you get started, read step 14.5 first

If your board is wider (step 1.5, dimension: B) than 115 mm, you can attach the second “Easy-Use” connector (5) in a line (dashed) to the first (4).

Place the plugged-together connector, position it as far as it will go (C), align it in a line and screw it tight (S).

14-min.png

14

If your board has a width (step 1.5, dimension: B) of 85 - 115 mm, you have to attach the “Easy-Use” connectors next to each other (dashed).

Achtung-min.png

In this case it is necessary that the substructure
is at least 40 mm wide! (U)

Place the plugged-together connector on the stop
position (C), align staggered and screw tight (S).

Achtung-min.png

Make sure that the distance (A) is not greater than the width of your substructure strips.

14.5-min.png

14.5

Viewed from the top, the groove (N) must now be free-standing.

Glübirne-min.png

Tip:
Do not press the holder when tightening in steps 13/14  too tight to stop (detail C).
After screwing in the first screw a few turns, slide the mated connectors  again slightly against the direction of the arrow (13/14).
So the groove is securely exposed.

15-min.png

15

Screw both connectors tight along the entire length of the board.

16-min.png

16

Turn the board over and push it with the recess (X) under the screw (S).

Align the distance between the planks and the wall (W) before continuing with step 17. For this you can clamp an “easy-use” connector between the wall and the floorboard, this automatically results in a joint width of 8mm. (F) in step 17.

17-min.png

17

For the time being, screw only screw (S1) to the substructure along the entire length of the board from the front connector (V).

We recommend screwing the first, then the last, and then the remaining connectors to the substructure.

Do not forget to remove the clamped connector (F) before the screws (S1) are fully tightened.

For standard terraces, you can skip step 17/01 - 17/11.

First-Line

The "Clip in Fence"

17_01.jpg

17/01

Put a “Clip in Fence” (CF) into the everywhere
“Easy-Use” connector where a stone slab is to be placed.

17_02.jpg

17/02

Prepare more “Clip in Fence” connectors.

There are two types of construction. If possible, place the area (F) under the stone.

17_03.jpg

17/03

Place your first stone on the connector and underlay it with the prepared connectors.

17_035.jpg

17/035

The connectors (gray), which border on the long side of a board, must be installed as shown in the illustration.

This is the only way to integrate the “Next-Line Potision Support” into the
Insert the elongated hole (L) and simply attach the next board.

17_04_edited.jpg

17/04

Once the position is found, fix the connector with the first screw

17_05.jpg

17/05

Remove the stone plate and screw in the screws (S) underneath

17_06.jpg

17/06

Now put a rubber on where the stone rests.
This serves as "footfall sound insulation", since stone and wood are never completely straight.

You now also have the chance to straighten the stone with the gummies and to level out any unevenness in the substructure.

Place the rubber with the grooves facing up.

17_07.jpg

17/07

Now put the stone back in.

Tip: Stand on the stone and check whether it is firmly seated or teetering. Align the stone so that it has a firm, quiet fit.

17_08.jpg

17/08

Repeat this step until the first row of stones has been laid.

17_09.jpg

17/09

Next, install the planks as described in steps 18-30.

17_10.jpg

17/10

When attaching the boards, make sure that the side of the board adjacent to the stone does not have a connector to the substructure of the stone (here marked with (X)).

Otherwise this would collide with the connector on the stone.

The distance (A) of the substructure bar (1) is chosen so that it is only about 10-15 cm  at the end of the board. This means that no further connector is required at the end of the board!

17_11.jpg

17/11

With this system and the procedure described above, create the pattern that you have provided for your purposes.

The end (step 31-40 or step 31 / 01-37/01) can be solved in several ways.

It is best to have a look at our videos.

Attention: Read the instructions for use carefully before using the products!
Observe the safety and warning notices and adhere to the building and safety regulations that apply to you!

18

Insert the “Next-Line” position clips (N) into the elongated holes of the “Easy-Use” connector along the entire length of the board. (E)

19.jpg
21.jpg

19

Lay the next board upside down on the substructure and align it with the spacer (3) lengthways to the wall.

20

Push the board up to the stop (arrow) on the positioning clips

21

Plug the next “Easy-Use” connector onto the
“Next-Line” position clips as shown in the picture and
Screw the connector along the entire length of the board with the
Self-drilling screws 4.2 x 19 mm (S).

22.jpg

22

You have now completely screwed on the connectors in the top row (O).

23

For the bottom row (U), screw on another "Easy-Use" connector (approximately in the middle) in each space.
Proceed as described in step 24.

24.jpg

24

Screw in the connectors on the bottom row
2 self-drilling screws 4.2 x 19 mm at the positions marked (S).

Achtung-min.png

Attention:
The distance (E) should be about 1.5 cm so that the board does not tear. To do this, insert a screw in (Y) and then press the connector in the direction of the arrow against the stop. Test this on a scrap piece. If the distance is not sufficient, enlarge it or pre-drill.

25.jpg

25

Lay the plank you just finished on its side and remove any positioning clips from step 18.

26

Fasten the first board with the screw (2) along its entire length.

The "Next-Line Position Clip"

Abtandhalter

The "spacer"

Attention: Read the instructions for use carefully before using the products!
Observe the safety and warning notices and adhere to the building and safety regulations that apply to you!

27.jpg

27

After the first board is completely fixed, place the second board (2) on the already screwed connectors (E) of the first board and align them with the spacers as indicated in step 28.

28.jpg

28

29.jpg

30

If you want to use a board spacing of 8mm, simply insert another “Easy-Use” connector into the previously installed board of the previous board. (Picture A)

For smaller or larger plank spacing, see step 29.

Align the board in the directions of the arrows and secure it
only with the first screw (S1) as in step 17.
Repeat steps 17-28 until you get to the last 3 boards.
Then continue reading from step 30.

29.jpg

29

If you choose a smaller or larger plank spacing,
you can use our “Customized spacer” (Fig. B).
This will be made according to your wishes.

Align the board in the directions of the arrows and secure it
only with the first screw (S1) as in step 17.
Repeat steps 17-28 until you get to the last 3 boards.
Then continue reading from step 30.

You have installed all the boards except for the last 3.

Now divide the last distance (F) so that the last board has a minimum width of 85 mm. You may have to saw 3 or 4 boards to get a uniform picture.

The end

Attention: Read the instructions for use carefully before using the products!
Observe the safety and warning notices and adhere to the building and safety regulations that apply to you!

-> If your last board is less than 85 mm wide, proceed as follows  Described in the following steps 31/01 - 37/01.

31.jpg

31

Place the “Easy-Use” connector flush with the substructure

32.jpg

32

Tighten the connector and loosen the screw again until you can pull the connector out with difficulty in the direction of the arrow.

33.jpg

33

Remove the connectors and insert the “Next-Line” position supports along the entire length of the board.

34.jpg

34

Place the last plank with the underside up under the “First-Line” position supports and then lay the connectors (A) at least flush, but better shifted 1-2 mm (L) inwards. (This will give you more air when threading in step 38)

34_1.jpg

34.1

Place the hold-downs (B) in the spaces as in

Step 23 - 24 described.

Screw the connectors tight along the entire length of the board.

The last floorboard is now prepared.

Remove the plank and first-line position supports and set them aside.

35.jpg

35

Now assemble the penultimate board. Proceed as you would with any other. Make sure, however, that the connector (A) is offset from the screw (S).

In this way you ensure that the connectors of the last board do not collide with the connectors of the now penultimate board.

Achtung-min.png

Attention:

Do not screw the board to the substructure yet!

35_1.jpg

35.1

Tip:

If you have previously placed the connectors in the middle and now need a row with staggered connectors, you only have to move the board by the dimension (M) before you attach / screw the connectors on.

36.jpg

36

If the penultimate board is in place, only fasten it with
Screw (S), then slightly loosen the screw again and remove the spacers (D).

Now push the plank (cumbersome!) Back onto the front plank in the direction of the arrow as far as it will go. The harder the board is to push, the better it will hold in the end!

37.jpg

37

In this initial situation, you now bring in the last plank.

38.jpg

38

If the board width has been correctly calculated and sawn to size, you have enough space to insert the last board as shown in the illustration.

39.jpg

39

Now push the last and penultimate board back into the screws (S) from steps 35 + 36.

40.jpg

40

Wedge the two boards until they are securely in place.

Congratulation! Your terrace is now ready!

Das Ende
Achtung-min.png

The end  - Solution for boards with a width of less than 85 mm

Attention: Read the instructions for use carefully before using the products!
Observe the safety and warning notices and adhere to the building and safety regulations that apply to you!

-> In the following steps 31/01 - 37/01 we describe a possible procedure if your last board is less than 85 mm wide.

31_01.jpg

31/01

If you have chosen the last board so that the “Easy-Use” connector is too long, either mount it offset
(as in step 13/14) or saw it off as shown in Figure S.

32_01.jpg

32/01

Use an “Easy-Use” connector as a spacer (A) to the wall and screw the connector (V) for the last board to the substructure with the screw (S).

Make sure that connectors (V) and (A) are in line with each other (arrows)

There must also be a distance (X) - about 1 cm - between connector (V) and connector (L).

Tighten the screw (S) so tightly that it is difficult to remove the connector (V) again. Do this on all substructures.

33_01.jpg

33/01

Place the last plank in position with the bottom side up.
Align them with the spacers.

You have removed the (sawn off) connector from step 32.
Put other connectors under the board so that it is level.

34_01.jpg

34/01

Place an “Easy-Use” connector (E) in a line on the other two (A + B) and mark the position on the side
(dashed line).

Now you know where to mount the (sawn off) connector.

35_01.jpg

35/01

Place the (sawn off) connector (V) at the marked position.

ATTENTION: The recesses (X) must point upwards!

Screw on the (sawn off) connector along the entire length of the board with a screw (S1).

Attach connectors in the gaps as well. (Step 23)

36_01.jpg

36/01

Remove all spacers and all connectors that you have placed underneath so that the board is level.

Turn the board over and push it with the middle connector (M) first under the board (C). Then slide it back in the direction of the arrow under screw (1) from step 32.

The harder you have set the screws (1), the better the board will hold.

37_01.jpg

37/01

Keil.jpg

To be on the safe side, you can now press another connector (gray) or, in the case of individual joint widths, a wedge sawn from a cut of the floorboard into the gap.

The last board is now firmly connected.
